Microsoft has showcased a selection of the first games for its Xbox games console.
Journalists at the company's Gamestock event were offered the chance to play eight "work-in-progress" titles.
The titles on show were driving game Project Gotham, NFL Fever, Amped Freestyle Snowboarding, Munch's Oddysee, Nightcaster, Fuzion Frenzy and Azurik: Rise of Perathia.
Microsoft says that there will be around 20 games available when the Xbox launches in the US this autumn. The console is expected to be available in the UK by early 2002.
Liverpool-based developers Bizarre Creations showcased their ultra-realistic Project Gotham racer.
They have reprised their Dreamcast game Metropolis Street Racer and promise even more detailed real city locations.
