A couple of Swedish newlyweds were struck by six natural disasters during their honeymoon.

Stefan and Erika Svanstrom were looking forward to travelling the world for four months with their baby daughter but found themselves encountering a snowstorm, cyclone, flooding, earthquakes and a tsunami.

Their badly-timed visits landed them in Christchurch, New Zealand and Japan just after earthquakes hit both and they also got caught up in flooding in Brisbane, Australia.

Stefan, who is also a survivor of the Boxing Day tsunami that hit Thailand in 2004, said: "I know marriages have to endure some trials, but I think we have been through most of them."
