Robin Williams’ eldest son Zak has spoken out about this father’s death in a rare inteview with People magazine.

The legendary actor tragically passed away in August and is survived by his three children, Zak, 31, Zelda, 25, and Cody, 23.

Four months on, his eldest son Zak has spoken out about their tragic loss.

“I miss him all the time,… he told them.

“Often I see something or if I’m watching a film, I think, ‘Oh, man, he would have appreciated this’ or ‘He would have gotten a laugh out of this.’”

Speaking for himself and his siblings Zelda and Cody, he added “There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t think about our dad.”

Zelda recently returned to Twitter after a short time away from the social media site. This was due to cruel internet trolls sending her disturbing photoshopped images of her late father along with many threatening messages.

Zak, whose mom is Williams's first wife, Valerie Velardi, is one of several loved ones who spoke to the magazine about the late Oscar winner's lasting impact and his legacy of compassion and generosity.

Members of St. Jude Children’s Hospital recall his love and extraordinary connection he had with the young patients.

Marlo Thomas, who worked with the late star for 18 years through St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, recalls his extraordinary connection with young patients.

"When he came there, it was like magic," says Marol Thomas, who worked with Robin for 18 years through the charity.

"One of them liked toy soldiers, so Robin sent him his own toy soldiers that he had saved all those years of his childhood,"

Zak also revealed he is now honoring his father's spirit of giving back by volunteering at a local prison.

"It's through helping others that I've begun to heal," he says.
