Twilight duo just met up to discuss their dogs

The former couple were spotted reuniting in Los Angeles last Wednesday, but it's claimed the stars are not getting back together, rather they simply met up to talk about the pets they once shared - Bear and Bernie.

A source close to the 'Twilight' actor told E! News they simply "caught up" and the meeting was "very platonic".

It was previously reported that Kristen, who split from the British hunk in May after four years together, spent three hours inside his house before she was spotted following his jeep out of his gated community in Los Angeles in her pickup truck and driving over to her own house.

Despite the reunion, pals of Robert don't believe he is looking to get back together with his former girlfriend.

A source said: "Rob is single. He doesn't want to date anybody right now. Not Kristen, not anyone. He is really enjoying his life. I honestly believe they will not get back together. There is always a small chance something happens, but I highly doubt it."
