James Reveley will spend a short spell on the sidelines after breaking his collarbone in a fall at Ayr on Friday.

The jockey was riding Ungaro for his father Keith Reveley in the Opin Systems Claiming Chase before the pair parted company at the fifth fence.

He was taken to hospital for precautionary X-rays and although they revealed that he had broken his collarbone, he was not kept in overnight.

Reveley senior said: “He’s fine really. He has broken his collarbone and had a bit of mild concussion but the doctors obviously weren’t too worried as they did not keep him in overnight.

“He’s had a broken collarbone before and it didn’t take too long to heal so hopefully he’ll only be out for two or three weeks.”
