Oxegen 'not moving to Phoenix Park'

Music promoter MCD has said the Oxegen music festival is definitely not moving to the Phoenix Park in Dublin.

Music promoter MCD has said the Oxegen music festival is definitely not moving to the Phoenix Park in Dublin.

It is reported in today's Irish Daily Mirror that the event - which is held every year in Punchestown in Co Kildare - is on the move to the Dublin venue and that camping will be axed.

But a spokesperson for MCD said the race for the park ended last Thursday, and that Oxegen will not be there.

However, when asked if the festival would take place in Punchestown next year, the spokesperson said he "would not get into that" and that any information would be available online through the Oxegen website, Facebook and Twitter.
