Tidour made amends for falling in the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham with a clear-cut success in the Martell Cognac Red Rum Handicap Chase.

Tom Doyle brought Paul Webber’s eight-year-old with a superbly-timed run to lead at the second-last.

The 5-1 favourite then bounded away from his rivals to win by nine lengths from Armaturk (16-1), who just held off the fast-finishing St Pirran (6-1) for second by a short head.
