Computer maker Dell has reported a increase of 24% in fourth quarter profits, as demand for its products rose.
Profit was $749m (€959.2m) or 29 cents a share, and sales increased 18% to $11.51bn (€14.7bn) from $9.74bn (€12.47bn).
PC shipments increased 25% with sales of its lap-top computers up 40%, ahead of the industry, with desktop shipments up 21% compared to the average of 8% for its competitors.
For the full financial year, the company said profits rose 25% to $2.65bn (€3.39bn), while sales added 17% to $41.4bn (€53.01bn).
First-quarter profit and sales will match analysts' forecasts, Dell said.
