Snooker legend Steve Davis has signed up for 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!'.
The 56-year-old potting sensation is expected to pull in "huge numbers of viewers" by appearing on the reality show and is "excited" about swapping the green baize for the Australian jungle.
Davis has won the World Championships and UK Championships six times each and as well as being snooker's world number one player for seven years, he became the sport's first millionaire.
Satirical show 'Spitting Image' – known for its mocking of stars - gave him the nickname "interesting", but the moniker led to him penning comedic book 'How to Be Really Interesting' in 1988.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Steve is a legend of the green baize and known to millions.
“ITV are certain he will pull in huge numbers of viewers.
“He is very excited about the challenge but how he will cope with the jungle – and the celebrities he will share it with – remains to be seen.”
He is expected to join several other stars Down Under including ex-'Strictly Come Dancing' professional dancer Vincent Simone, 'Emmerdale' actress Lucy Pargeter and former 'The Apprentice' winner Stella English.
