Jay-Jay Okocha and Bruno N’Gotty are set to leave Bolton Wanderers, the club have confirmed.

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce confirmed the pair would not be returning to the Reebok Stadium next season following the final day game with Birmingham which saw them pipped for a place in the Intertoto Cup by Newcastle despite a 1-0 victory.

Playmaker Okocha has been with the Trotters for four years while defender N’Gotty joined in January 2002.

Both players' contracts have come to an end and Allardyce paid tribute to the pair.

He told the club’s official website, www.bwfc.co.uk: “Jay-Jay and Bruno will go down in Wanderers folklore – not only for what they brought to the club in terms of experience and quality, but also for what they helped us to achieve during their time here.

“Nobody will ever forget their contribution.

“We are looking to reduce the overall age of our squad and it was a tough decision not to offer them new deals.”
