The Irish Sports Council has restored €350,000 of the FAI's 2004 grant.

€500,000 of funding was withheld back in October but following a successful presentation by the FAI, the Council has decided to release the majority of this.

€200,000 will go to fund the Associations Technical Development Plan while €150,000 will go to support the implementation of the Genesis report.

The Council have said the remaining €150,000 will be restored when they are satisfied the posts of FAI chief executive and finical director have been filled in a transparent manner.
