Formula One champions Ferrari have confirmed that Michael Schumacher will race in the 2002-spec car at the Brazilian Grand Prix next weekend.

Schumacher used last year’s Ferrari in the opening two races of this season, winning the opener in Australia and finishing third in the next race in Malaysia.

However, Ferrari have decided that the 2002 car is ready for action and Schumacher will now use it for the first time in Brazil.

His team-mate, Rubens Barrichello, will continue to use the old car.
