Shearer handed two-match ban
Alan Shearer has been handed a two-match ban for violent conduct.
UEFA’s disciplinary committee handed down the ban after Shearer allegedly elbowed Inter Milan’s Fabio Cannavaro during Wednesday night's Champions League clash.
Shearer was captured by television cameras swinging an elbow at the Italian international defender but escaped any censure by the referee.
The blow appeared to catch Cannavaro on the back of the head.
