Mariah Carey has attended a screening of her new film Glitter in Los Angeles.
It was Carey's first public appearance since she received psychiatric treatment in July for a physical and emotional breakdown.
Glitter is released in America today and co-stars Mel B's boyfriend, Max Beesley.
Carey plays a singer plucked from obscurity who becomes a huge sensation.
However, some US critics are not that taken with Carey's move into films.
USA Today describes it as a "dim bulb of a movie", and according to the New York Times the film is "an unintentionally hilarious compendium of time-tested cinematic clichés".
