Pregnant Kidd set to have baby boy

Former model Jodie Kidd has shown off her growing pregnancy bump – and revealed she has had a crush on her boyfriend since she was 12.

Kidd, once known for her waif-like figure, is six months pregnant with Argentinian polo player Andrea Vianini, the best pal of her brother.

In an interview with this week’s Hello! magazine, she revealed she is to have a boy.

Kidd, 32, said: “Andrea wanted a little girl. I didn’t mind, as long as the baby was healthy. I had a sneaky feeling it was a boy – it just felt like it.”

The couple – who have done their first photoshoot together since they became an item more than a year ago – recently spent eight months together at 45-year-old Vianini’s Uruguay base but are back in the UK for the polo season.

Towering Kidd, who is 6ft 2in, said her pregnancy had so far been stress-free.

“We’ve been very chilled and are just letting it happen, which is very much a South American attitude.

“I’ve never been broody before. I’ve always been career-orientated, gallivanting around the world and jumping out of helicopters. It’s remarkable seeing what your body does. It’s been a real eye-opener. An amazing, incredible experience.”

Kidd was a schoolgirl when she first saw her partner playing polo with her father Johnny Kidd.

And Vianini went on to become her older brother Jack’s best friend.

She recalled: “I always had a secret crush on him, but then he was always with my brother – and I found them annoying. They used to wind me up.”

The baby is due in mid September.
