Donal O'Grady has quit as manager of newly-crowned All-Ireland champions Cork.
Although O'Grady was officially finished his term since the All-Ireland Final, the decision was confirmed today by a member of the Cork County Board.
O'Grady said he made the decision for family and work reasons, according to RTE.
O'Grady took the reins of the Rebels in 2003. Although Cork began the season with a strike threat looming, they won the Munster title, losing to Kilkenny in the final.
This year O'Grady's Cork avenged that defeat with victory over the Cats, winning 0-17 to 0-9 win.
Cork County Board face the tough task of appointing a successor to O'Grady next week. O'Grady's players had wanted him to stay on in the role.
