Bradley blow for Derry
Derry football manager Damien Cassidy has been handed more bad news as it has emerged that Paddy Bradley may be ruled out for the Oak Leafers' Ulster Senior Football Championship opener against Armagh after sustaining an injury while in action for his club last night.
The All-Star forward was carried off early in the second half of Glenullin's 2-9 to 1-10 win over Newbridge in Division 1 of the Derry Senior Football League.
Bradley suffered a hamstring injury, which usually needs six to eight weeks for recovery.
Derry are already without Seamus Bradley, who twisted his knee in the seven-point league defeat to Dublin in February.
Enda Lynn, Liam Hinphey and Andrew McCartney are also out of the equation with the trio having quit Cassidy's panel since the beginning of the league.
Paddy Bradley is Derry's all-time top scorer and is definitely ruled out of Derry's final National Football League tie against Galway next Sunday.
Derry have yet to win a game in the current league, and barring a freak set of results next weekend are condemned to Division 2 football next year.
