Everton have suffered a fresh injury blow ahead of Sunday’s Barclays Premier League trip to Bolton with the loss of in-form striker Louis Saha.
The Frenchman, who scored four times in last week’s defeat of Blackpool, strained a hamstring this week and is likely to be out for 10-14 days.
The news comes just a day after Everton confirmed midfielder Jack Rodwell could be sidelined for around four weeks with the groin injury sustained on England Under-21 duty.
Defender Phil Jagielka, who recently had a spell out with a thigh injury, is pushing for a start after two substitute appearances.
Provisional squad: Howard, Neville, Distin, Heitinga, Jagielka, Baines, Coleman, Cahill, Osman, Fellaini, Arteta, Bilyaletdinov, Beckford, Anichebe, Gueye, Baxter, Duffy, Silva, Mucha.
