Liam Lynch scored a late winner for First Division Longford as both sides finished with ten men at Terryland Park in the shock of the night.

Town had Neil McKenna sent off on 23 minutes for a bad foul on John Russell.

Lynch then popped up with the winner on 83 minutes, shooting home after a one-two with Tom King, to stun the home crowd.

Galway then had substitute Dave Cooke sent off in the last minute as Town held out for their biggest win of the season.
