Cork City 0 Sligo Rovers 0
Cork failed to improve their hopes of Europa League qualification as they were held scoreless by relegation-threatened Sligo before their lowest crowd of the season which was preceded by a fans' protest.
Sligo almost took the lead on 16 minutes when Danny Ventre’s shot deflected off defender Kevin Long and came back off the City bar.
Davin O’Neill had Cork’s best chance of the first half on 40 minutes when forcing a good stop from Richard Brush.
Brush excelled again on 77 minutes with a stunning one-handed save to deprive former Sligo striker Faz Kuduzovic.
Sligo might then have snatched it right on 90 minutes, but Rob Turner headed wide from Dean Marshall’s cross.
