Police in Sweden had to be called in after 61,000 jobhunters were accidentally called to a recruitment event in Stockholm.
That is roughly the city's entire employment-seeking population. The meeting, organised by the national jobs agency Arbetsförmedlingen, was designed for 1,000 participants.
Swedish newspaper TheLocal reports that police were summoned by the panic button behind the counter after the office was overwhelmed.
It is being blamed on an e-mail going out to the wrong mailing list, but it is not yet known if human or technical error was behind it.
