Fujitsu Siemens posted a pre-tax loss of €21m for the six months ending June30, 2002, down from a profit of €3m in the same period in 2001.
The company, based in Amsterdam, is a 50-50 joint venture between Siemens AG and Fujitsu.
While sales fell only marginally, a re-structuring cost of €23m affected results.
The company said that it expected little improvement in the IT market during 2003.
