Lingfield’s meeting on Saturday is subject to an 8am inspection tomorrow morning.

Clerk of the course Neil Mackenzie-Ross will take a look at the track as the ground is currently heavy, waterlogged in places.

“We have had 19mm of rain since midnight and unfortunately, the forecast is not fantastic either,” he said.

“There are showers around tomorrow and it is sunny on Saturday. But at this stage, it is difficult to be greatly optimistic.”

The seven-race meeting, due to commence at 12.15, features the Grade Two December Novices’ Chase and the Summit Junior Hurdle.
