Five Muslims, all members of the same family, have been killed in the western Indian state of Gujarat after a mob of Hindus set fire to three houses in the village of Abhasana.
42 others were also injured in the attacks and are being treated for burns in the nearby town of Dethroj.
More than 800 people, most of them Muslims, have died in Gujarat in recent months during an upsurge in sectarian violence.
Muslims and Hindus are in dispute in the region because of Hindu plans to build a temple on the site of a mosque that was demolished by nationalists 10 years ago.
