A last minute penalty from Des Byrne gave Bohemians no more than they deserved for a dominant display at Belfield as they leapfrog UCD up into seventh place in the Premier Division table.

With the game looking set for a scoreless draw entering the 90th minute, UCD skipper Tony McDonnell handled Stephen Ward’s cross into the College area.

Byrne was calmness personified from the spot to blast home the penalty.

Bohs had the lion's share of possession throughout and forced UCD keeper Darren Quigley into several good stops, the pick of them from Ward on 63 minutes.
