Injury-jinxed Kilkenny star DJ Carey will be sidelined for up to six weeks with a broken finger.

The nine-time Allstar recipient picked up his latest injury in a club friendly game for Young Irelands on Sunday.

Cats boss Brian Cody admitted: "This is a setback for DJ, but his bad luck could be an opportunity for another member of the panel."

Elsewhere, Noel Hickey and skipper Charlie Carter will return to the panel for Sunday's League clash with Galway.
