Befuddled reality TV star Ozzy Osbourne will need six months to recover from the injuries he sustained in his quad bike accident last week.

The 55-year-old rocker is now able to breathe unaided and can celebrate his first British number one single, a duet of the 1972 Black Sabbath song “Changes” with daughter Kelly Osbourne, according to imdb.com.

Devoted wife Sharon has said that it will take at least six months for her husband to fully recover also revealing he slept for a week after the crash.

She says, "Probably about six months. But he will be back, he's not going anywhere. He'll be ordering everybody around, don't worry. He is doing so good. He's so much better. He's off the ventilator and breathing on his own, he just has some assistance with some oxygen but he's doing it all on his own.

“He's awake and he's causing havoc. He's busy telling jokes all the time, he's already asked two nurses to marry him. It's just amazing what the body does within a period of 24 hours.

"I saw him the night before and there was no movement, nothing. I came in the next day and he was moving around, his eyes were wandering. He can't talk properly but he's got a little raspy voice.

“He has never had a number one and for me it just goes to show how much people love him. It's a dream come true for him. The first thing I told him when he came to was about his single. He couldn't speak but tears were coming out."
