Alex McLeish today insisted it was business as usual despite the continuing speculation linking him with the vacant manager's job at West Ham.
The Hibernian boss is believed to be on the London club's short-list to replace Harry Redknapp.
McLeish insisted the Hammers had not been in touch with the Edinburgh club and until that changed there was nothing for him to worry about.
McLeish said: "As far as I'm concerned the talk of West Ham is just speculation.
"They have certainly made no approach to me and right now I just have to disregard all the talk and get on with my job at Hibs.
"If the rumours persist and it turns out there is more to it, then we'll have to deal with it appropriately, but that's not the case right now."
The speculation, however, has not prevented McLeish from planning for next season and he has wasted no time in targeting four or five new players.
Despite losing to Celtic in the Scottish Cup final on Saturday, Hibs still have UEFA Cup football to look forward to.
McLeish sat down with managing director Rod Petrie today to outline his plans for the forthcoming campaign.
"I will be speaking to Rod to outline our plans for next season," McLeish said.
"We have to resolve the situation with the out-of-contract players and also look at freshening the squad up.
"I've already targeted four or five players and I would hope we will be able - as in the past - to bring in a few on Bosman deals.
"It's likely we would need to offset any arrivals with a couple of departures.
"We have to maintain the standards we've set this season and try to improve. To do that we have to freshen the squad and bring in some new players."
