Full Houston report 'may give more detail on final cause of death'

The release of the full post-mortem report on Whitney Houston may offer more clues about whether she suffered a heart attack before she drowned, officials said today.

The release of the full post-mortem report on Whitney Houston may offer more clues about whether she suffered a heart attack before she drowned, officials said today.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said details in the report may include test results and physical descriptions of the singer’s heart which will show whether she suffered a heart attack.

Houston’s death has been ruled an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use listed as contributory factors.

The full report is expected to be released in a few weeks.

It will reveal the levels of cocaine and its by-products that were found in the singer’s system when she died in the bath at a hotel on February 11, ahead of the Grammy Awards.

Beverly Hills police will use the coroner’s full findings to complete their investigation.
