One Dutch soldier was killed and five others have been injured during a rocket attack on The Netherlands’ main military base in Afghanistan, a top military official said.

One Dutch soldier was killed and five others have been injured during a rocket attack on The Netherlands’ main military base in Afghanistan, a top military official said.

Soldier first class Azdin Chadli, 20, was killed in the attack, which also wounded two Afghan soldiers, General Peter van Uhm, the Netherlands’ defence chief, said at a press conference in The Hague.

Pte Chadli had arrived in the country just a week earlier, Gen Van Uhm said.
