David Seaman will sign a new contract with Arsenal soon - and stay and fight for his first-team place at Highbury.
Seaman has yet to sign a new one-year deal with the Gunners, who are poised to capture Ipswich's Richard Wright for £6m.
But the 37-year-old's agent said the player will put pen to paper when he returns from holiday in Portugal - and has no problem with the swoop for Wright.
Steve Kutner said: "He is very cool about the whole thing. In fact he is excited that Arsenal are making such a go of it in the transfer market and increasing their chances of winning the Premiership.
"The contract is waiting to be signed when he comes back. It has been merely a question of logistics that has stopped him - he will sign."
Kutner is also the agent of Seaman's deputy Alex Manninger, and says the 24-year-old Austrian is also intending to see out the remaining two years of his contract at Arsenal.
The agent added: "Alex is not panicking - if he did have to leave Arsenal there would be no shortage of interest."
