A 34-year-old man has been arrested on the Costa Del Sol for allegedly trying to sell false viagra pills on the internet to customers in Britain and the United States.

He was arrested today after an investigation by the Spanish paramilitary civil guard. When the pills were analysed they were shown not to be viagra - although they did contain some of the chemicals used in the pill.

It’s believed they were made in clandestine laboratory in Asia and pose a serious risk to the health of anyone who has taken them.

Police say they found a large quantity of the false pills, computer equipment, a quantity of drugs and a pistol at his home in the resort. Police claim he has a record of fraud in Ireland and Switzerland.
