Jordan faces biggest fears in fourth trial

Glamour model Jordan today faced her two biggest fears in her fourth Bushtucker trial on the reality TV show I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here - snakes and eels.

The model was chosen by celebrity evictee Alex Best to complete the Snake Lake trial before she was evicted.

She told the ITV show’s presenters, Ant and Dec, that it was a bonus to still be in the jungle.

“I didn’t think I would be in the top five so it’s a bonus.”

She has already completed one trial involving water – of which she has a phobia. But this latest trial also involved snakes.

When asked by Ant what else she feared besides water, she replied: ‘Snakes, eels, rats, spiders. You name it, I don’t really like any of them.”

Jordan had to navigate her way across the lake on a series of logs. On each log was a Perspex box – three of which contained two snakes each. The fourth contained two eels. She had just three minutes to collect one snake from each box and one eel and bring them back in her hands to an empty box near the start of the course. For each snake or eel she moved she would get one meal for the group.

After that she had an extra minute if she wanted to tackle a fifth mystery box which was covered in a black cloth. If she managed to move whatever was in the surprise box to the empty box she would not only earn an extra meal but also a treat for the hungry campers.

Dec warned her: “Every time we’ve had a celebrity in such close proximity to the snakes, people have been bitten in the past. You could be bitten. They’re not venomous but they might bite.”

Jordan said: “I’ve been bitten enough by snakes in the past.”

She put some goggles on and said: “It looks easy but I bet it’s not.”

Then she added: “We’ve used our rations of rice today. I was cocky. I said ‘just eat it, I’ll get us some food’.”

In box one were Children’s Pythons. Jordan picked one up gently and sang to it: “Pretty little boy, pretty little boy. Hello little boy.”

She dropped it into the empty box with ease. Then she tackled the second box containing eels. But she dropped one into the lake and could not pick up the second.

She moved to box three containing carpet snakes but again was unable to pick one up.

In box four were green tree snakes. She managed to pick one up and drop it into the box before going back to successfully tackle the remaining eel.

She told it: “Right, you bastards you’re coming now, I’m having my dinner, mate.”

She moved back to the box of carpet snakes but was unable to pick one up.

She managed three meals for the camp. Jordan then returned to Ant and Dec who told her that the judges had ruled that the eel did not count because she moved the box they were in.

Jordan replied: “I think you’re out of order. I think you should have made the box stable.”

She decided to tackle the mystery box – covered in a black cloth – even though Ant and Dec told her it contained worse creatures than the ones she had just faced.

Jordan lifted off the cloth of the last box to reveal water dragons and salt water crocodiles. She picked up a water dragon telling it not to bite her and dropped it into the box in the nick of time.

Jordan told the boys that she was not pleased with her efforts which would result in three meals and a treat.

Jordan, real name Katie Price, later spoke about the daily evictions with her fellow celebrities.

“Every day someone you don’t think is going to leave the camp goes. I keep saying it doesn’t matter. Alex was the cook, the cleaner, getting logs. It just goes to show it doesn’t matter how ‘in’ to the group you look like you’re being. It doesn’t mean to say you’re staying in.

“I’m quite lazy and I admit it but that’s just me. I didn’t think I would be in the top five. People hate me at home don’t they? So I’m lucky I’m still here.”

The boys told her she was not hated in England but she responded: “Oh please. I get voted worst everything.”

Mother-of-one Jordan said she now wanted to stay till the end and that all the celebrities wanted to win at this stage.

Jordan and Peter denied being an item after the other celebrities said they may appear like a couple on TV.

Peter was lying behind Jordan on a bed fast asleep but the model soon realised how it would look to people watching at home.

She said: “It looks like me and Peter are an item though like this.”

Kerry said: “It certainly does.”

Jordan asked: “Does it?”

Kerry said: “Yes, it does.”

Peter woke up in the bed next to her and Jordan told him: “Get off, get off.”

Peter told her: “Don’t be mean now.”

Jordan then responded: “No, we’re not allowed so don’t make it look like it.”

Lord Brocket told them: “It looks good on camera Katie.”

Peter then said: “F*** the cameras man.”

Jordan then asked again whether it looked like they had been an item.

Kerry said: “Of course it does. It has been all week. You can’t deny that surely, that you two have got something going on.”

Peter then said: “What are you talking about? It’s disgusting.”

Jordan said: “We have not got anything going on.

She then added: “I can’t help it if I’m stuck in the jungle.”

But Peter got off the bed and said: “Thanks a bloody lot. You know what, on that note, on that bloody note. You ungrateful cow.”

Jordan added: “I can’t help being in the jungle and there’s a single male here. No I don’t mean it like that.”

Peter added: “Even my hand is too good for you to talk to.”

Jordan then asked Kerry again whether it looked like they were a couple to which she told her it did.

Jordan added: “I know. It’s friendly but I keep forgetting the way they’re going to portray that.”
