The financials experienced the busiest trading today as the ISEQ index closed up 10.04 at 5,368.67.
However, there was little movement in share value despite the Small and Medium Enterprises Organisation calling on the Government to establish an investigation into the entire banking sector, in light of recent scandals.
Allied Irish Bank remained unchanged while Anglo Irish Bank closed down 4c. Bank of Ireland was the main mover, gaining 17c to close at €10.95 while Irish Life and Permanent was up 9c at €12.66.
