Shocking security camera footage has emerged of the moment a commuter train derailed and scaled an escalator at one of America’s busiest airports.
Some 32 people were injured in the incident on Monday at Chicago's O’Hare International Airport.
The below footage from a security camera at O'Hare - hence the low quality - shows the moment the impact occurred, with two onlookers at the top of the escalator coming within a hair's breadth of death or serious injury.
That was a close call.
Multiple investigations are underway into the incident, reported to have been caused by the train operator "dozing off".
