A British National Party councillor today denied being involved in a gay porn film.
Richard Barnbrook, the party's London organiser and winner of one of 11 BNP seats in Barking and Dagenham at last week's local elections, said: "It was an art film, end of story. It was not a bloody porn film."
The film - HMS Discovery: A Love Story - includes long scenes of men undressing and fondling each other, including full-frontal nudity, naked men clawing passionately at each other's bodies while standing in a river, and a naked man apparently performing a sex act on another, according to the Evening Standard.
Mr Barnbrook takes the production and direction credits but denied writing the erotic poetry played across the footage.
"I am not interested in this," he said.
"It was an art film, end of story. It was not a bloody porn film.
In its election manifesto, the far-right BNP proposed a local vote so parents could decide if they want to "prohibit the teaching of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle choice".
