Budget airline Ryanair today announced it is to increase cabin baggage maximum allowances from 7kgs to 10kgs - but it is to hike the cost of excess baggage charges.
Ryanair's new allowances take effect from Tuesday, June 29. The current hold baggage maximum allowance of 15kgs per passenger will remain unchanged.
Excess baggage charges will rise to £4.50/€7.00 per kilo from the same date.
Any passengers with bookings prior to June 29 are entitled to the current excess baggage rates of £4.00/€6.00.
