Slater: I want a comeback like Travolta's

Hollywood bad boy Christian Slater is praying new movie Bobby will rescue his movie career, like Pulp Fiction did for John Travolta.

Hollywood bad boy Christian Slater is praying new movie Bobby will rescue his movie career, like Pulp Fiction did for John Travolta.

The 37-year-old actor believes the film, a biopic of slain US Senator Robert F Kennedy, will become his "comeback movie".

He says: "People have comeback movies. I mean, everyone always talks about John Travolta - how his career was completely off the map and yet he was able to come back with Pulp Fiction.

"We all need that. I don't know anybody who gets through their career completely unscathed. Even Tom Cruise, the guy we all held up as the ultimate pinnacle, is having his issues to deal with in this business."
