Former Leeds defender Ian Harte believes his game is well suited to the Primera Liga after making a goalscoring début for newly-promoted Spanish club Levante.
The Republic of Ireland international moved to the Valencia-based club during the summer and has settled in well in his new environment, scoring for Levante in their 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad at the weekend.
“I was eight years with Leeds, playing in England at a very important level in all competitions, but here in the Spanish league things are going well and I am enjoying it a lot,” he said.
“I feel I have settled into the play here in Spain.
“In England, we were all running during the game without taking a breather from one end of the pitch to the other, while in Spanish football it is a lot more technical.
“I have adapted quickly to what the trainer wants and we hope to take all the points that we can in the next games.”
