Limerick workers accept Atlas Aluminum severance package
Workers at Atlas Aluminum in Limerick have accepted a severance package at a meeting with union representatives.
In all, 163 jobs will be lost at the car components plant, which is due to wind down operations by the end of the year.
The package has been worked out with the help of the Labour Relations Commission following a dispute over pay and conditions.
The workers claim they had no choice but to accept the deal.
