The ISEQ was up 13.53 points just before lunchtime today.
Irish Life and Permanent gained 35c (1.8%) to €19.35. Anglo Irish Bank was up 12c (1%) at €11.62.
Bank of Ireland gained 14c to €14.35, while Allied Irish Bank completed a positive morning for the financials with a 3c increase to €19.81.
FBD was up 40c (1.1%) at €38.00.
Elan slipped 20c (1.7%) to €11.50.
CRH, the morning’s busiest share, fell 10c to €25.60.
C&C was also heavily traded, and fell 6c to €8.57. Fyffes fell 1c to €1.41. Fyffes spin-off property company Blackrock has bought €4.5m worth of office accommodation in the UK.
Ryanair was down 6c at €7.54, despite announcing that it would start 12 new routes out of Dublin from December.
