Arafat meets Israeli Foreign Minister

The Palestinian Leader and the Israeli Foreign Minister have met again today at a conference on the Spanish Island of Majorca.

The Palestinian Leader and the Israeli Foreign Minister have met again today at a conference on the Spanish Island of Majorca.

A Palestinian official said Yasser Arafat and Shimon Peres met alone for 30 minutes and discussed elements of a ceasefire they brokered in September.

An Israel official has said that the meeting only lasted five minutes however and the talks only centred on speaking arrangements for today’s conference.
