A European Union conference on the changing roles in the workplace will be held in Dublin Castle tomorrow.
The two-day conference will aim to identify and highlight the particular characteristics of companies and of the regulatory regime which generate and sustain employment and innovation.
The conference entitled 'Adaptability and Adjustment to Change in the Workplace' will review case studies of successful new forms of company structure and organisation in France, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Slovenia and Ireland.
Former Dutch Prime Minister Mr Wim Kok will address the seminar on Thursday while other speakers include the director general for employment and social affairs with the Commission, Mrs Odile Quintin, and Intel Ireland's business development manager, Mr Jim Kelly.
Representatives of European employers and trade unions as well as the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and IBEC will take part in a panel discussion.
