Hollywood star Brad Pitt fled his Troy film set in Malta and flew 2,600 miles to London because he had a hair emergency.

The Fight Club star was worried his golden locks were being damaged by the strong Mediterranean sun so he phoned his favourite hairdresser Daniel Galvin and begged for an appointment, even though the salon was closed.

According to the British tabloid The Star , Galvin was more than happy to accommodate his famous client so Pitt hopped on a plane for his emergency appointment.

An insider at the London salon says, "Brad loves coming here and was desperate for our help after the damage the sun did to his hair in Malta. Brad got Daniel on his mobile and persuaded him to open up for him. Daniel didn't really mind because he was at home and Brad is a valued customer."
