WATCH: This pug has adopted three baby kittens as her own

Three tiny baby kittens have been fostered by a pug dog called Peppa.

Peppa the pug was a stray taken in by the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home suffering from mastitis.

Luckily for Peppa, she quickly won the heart of Canine Behaviourist and Training Advisor Louise Taylor who decided to adopt Peppa for her own.

Not long after Peppa had settled into her new home with Louise, three little adorable kittens were abandoned by their mother in a London stairwell.

These three new-born kittens were rescued by the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home who took on the task of bottle-feeding the tiny little things; Conker, Pickle and Pumpkin, around the clock.

Soon after the young kittens were found, they were introduced to Peppa the pug when they were fostered by Louise and a bond began to blossom from the moment the dog and kittens were brought together.

Peppa minds Pumpkin, Pickle and Conker as if they were her own pups, washing them constantly, snuggling in to them and keeping an eye on them as they move around the basket.

Peppa's owner Louise said she was delighted to see her dog adopt the kittens: “It's been lovely to see the four of them together, especially knowing these three kittens had such an unlucky start in life.”

Pumpkin, Pickle and Conker have now got homes to go to as soon as they are old enough to leave their 'mother' and branch out into the big bad world.

Lets hope the rest of their life is less eventful from the start and they always remember their lovely adopted mother Peppa.
