Someone's tweeting every frame of Top Gun, one by one

WHY?

Someone's tweeting every frame of Top Gun, one by one

Oh, internet. How we love you and your completely pointless ways.

Twitter user @555uhz is, for some unknown reason, tweeting every single still frame from the 1986 classic Top Gun - one at a time.

Here's the first tweet, from January 23:

It's the fade-in from the title screen. Hey, we said frame-by-frame! By the next day, he'd made it as far as "A Tony Scott Film". It took a full three to four days before he flew into the Danger Zone .

God, this movie rocks.

Remember when Maverick flew upside-down over the MIG? That was twelve days eight minutes into the film.

Whoever the madman behind @555uhz is, he's been at this for almost a month and he's made it to the bar scene. That's about, oh, 19 minutes in.

God speed, 555uhz. You're doing God's work.
