Two students were shot at Delaware State University this morning and police were searching for a gunman, officials said.

Two students were shot at Delaware State University this morning and police were searching for a gunman, officials said.

Students, faculty and staff were instructed to stay in their buildings, according to a news release on the university’s website.

Those not on campus were being told not to go there until further notice.

The students were shot near Memorial Hall around 1am, the news release said.

No other information was immediately available.
