This mother got her kids so many Christmas presents you can barely see the tree

Isle of Man mother Emma Tapping recently posted a photo to her Facebook page showing her Christmas tree - but you might not notice it behind the almighty mound of presents.

The photo has been shared widely online after the mother-of three posted it to her Instagram account, with many commenting that the amount of presents is excessive and will spoil her children.

But Emma doesn't agree:

"I LOVE spoiling my kids in the festive season and I work damn hard to make sure it is every bit as amazing as it can be. "

Emma is reported to have bought around 300 presents, costing around £1,500.

She appeared on This Morning today via Skype and said that her and her husband, a labourer, are "not rich at all" but like to treat their two daughters and son.

'You can buy your children two presents or 200 but it is the way you bring them up. They could have two presents and still be a little terror. My kids know the difference between right and wrong, they appreciate everything they get and they don't get spoilt throughout the year, we don't go on expensive holidays.

'If they break something like their phone they have to save up their money to replace it.'

She also said she bought most of the items through sales:

'I start shopping in January and use every bargain, every sale I can, that's how I do it, I shop all year round to make the pile as big as it is.

Whatever your thoughts on it, we can't help wonder how long it's going to take to unwrap them all.
