Britney Spears has banished the memory of her slated performance at last year's MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) - by wowing fans in a promotional video for this year's show.
Spears appears in the promo with VMA host Russell Brand, rapper LL Cool J, and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.
The singer looks tanned in a black dress - and even Brand admitted his attraction to the star, making a joke about the sexual tension, to which Spears replies: "I don't feel the tension."
Spears made a disastrous comeback attempt at last year's show, baring her belly and stumbling across the stage.
But this year she will make another return as she is nominated for two awards at the ceremony - Best Female and Best Pop Video categories, for her track 'Piece of Me'.
However, it is unknown whether Spears will be given a second chance to hit the stage for a performance.
The MTV VMAs show is set to air in the US September 7.
