Nikindi is set for the big sales race at Doncaster’s St Leger meeting following his fine effort in a similar contest at the Curragh.

The Mull Of Kintyre gelding picked up €20,400 for his connections when fourth to Sudden Impact in the Tattersalls Ireland Sales Stakes on Saturday in what his first race for four months.

He is now being aimed at the €443,000 St Leger 2-Y-O Stakes on September 12.

“Nikindi is in good form and will probably run at Doncaster in the big two-year-old race,” said trainer Stan Moore.

“He ran a bit too free in the early part of the race in Ireland. He was probably race fresh and he’ll improve from that.”
